The Herriot Gallery is open all year, from 10.30am to 4.30pm, every day except Wednesday. The Herriot Coffee Shop is open during the same hours, so why not stop for refreshments whilst you take time to browse the work on show? Herriot’s is situated on the A684, midway between the A1 at Leeming Bar and junction 37 on the M6 (Kendal). The building in on the left on the cobbled stretch of one-way road, just after the waterfall bridge. There are some parking spaces outside the building, but these do not belong to Herriot’s. Otherwise there are several no-pay parking areas and 2 large pay and display car parks in the town. |
